Poetic moment

I used to write poetry a few years ago, but it faded away with new things and life in between.  But this morning as I looked outside at the once again, grey lifeless skies
these words came to me:  My first in many a year.  I call it

WESTCOAST LAMENT

Grey skies dampen natures spirit,
Mood cloaked misty shroud.
Desire fades to melancholy
Awaiting the lifted cloud.
Colours fade in muted glory,
Petals moist with morning dew.
Waiting, waiting the magic wonders
-----A touch of sun-----
