Just Checking in...

Just checking in to say I haven't got lost, but I have been busy over the weekend.
Nothing too exciting to report really. With the heat we have had recently, it seems
to have knocked the stuffing out of me. We are expecting another week of high temperatures, so I am not looking forward to that. I am not a beach lounger or sun
lover either, so I stay under cover until it cools down some. A cute little story
about my mother. She went out with a companion/friend today and I went up to visit
with her when she got back. I blinked a couple of times and then grinned to myself.
My mother had gone out and got her ears pierced! She had this done many years ago,
but had a lot of trouble with them. But my dad had bought her some pretty little
earrings that sat in her jewelery box and she decided it was time to wear them again.
Eighty-eight years old and she got her ears pierced. Bless her heart.
