On this ATC card I had to use Plumeria, which is a very fragrant Hawaiian flower.
The fragrance gets stronger in the evening, and is very heady and rich. My very first trip to Hawaii was almost overpowering with the scent of these gorgeous blooms.
But twenty years later, when I returned with my grown up family, Waikiki had become
urbanized and the gardens had disappeared. The scent is faint, if almost gone now.
I had this black and white paper in my stash, and because my printer ran out of colour ink, I printed the image in black and white and coloured the flowers and the
figure with Copic markers. The pearl centers were also tinted in soft yellow as well. I am quite pleased with the end result and I hope the reciprient likes it too.
