Zen, anyone?

Good morning bloggers. I promised you another set of ATC's that I managed to do, in
between Christmas shopping, appointments etc. These are called Zentangles, which you can Google and find lots of examples in various threads. The name comes from the
word Zen, a quiet meditated state, which is what these "doodles" are supposed to create when you sit down and apply yourself to them. But enough of that, you want to see them.
Now each of these had to reflect a holiday in some way. Starting at the top left,
is my version of Canada Day, July 1st. I used the maple leaf as my visual and there are firework bursts over the card. The next one has elements of Halloween on it, with cats, bats, spider webs, trees. On the lower level is a flowered card with crosses representing Easter and of course the next one is for Valentines Day. I'm a beginner at these so they aren't complicated at all, but there are various elements that can be used and they can become masterpieces of art. Check it out in Google, as there are some
really detailed pieces from advanced artists.
Nothing new going on from now until Christmas. A few more gifts to get and I am done. Somehow the spirit doesn't seem to be there this year and so many others feel the same way, but Christmas day will be fun for the kids and it is always special to have family around you. That is what is important.

This looks like so much fun. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like a good winter project for those long, cold days.
