Yesterday was such a beautiful day, a little breezy and chilly, but we decided to just hop in the car and enjoy the sunshine. Have you ever wanted to visit
a place in your town or city and just never got around to it. Well we did just that.
We went to a place called Barnston Island, and you have to take a funny little ferry
across the river. It is actually a farmland community living in the river and you drive all around it and come back to the ferry landing. It was really pretty. Even more so in the summer when it was truly green and lush. But we saw acres of cranberry bog with all the plants in bright red hue. It would be fascinating to go again when they harvest the lot. They flood the fields and the berries float to the top and then are scooped up for transport to factories and mills.

When we drove home after having stopped for a bowl of soup at our favourite restaurant, we stopped at the top of our road to pick up the mail. We live at the bottom of the street, with the house laying across the bottom end of the cul-de-sac.
The sun was shining on the trees leading up the hill again behind the house and were
so pretty. A couple of streets over from us, you can sit in a similar spot at the top of the road and see right across the valley. Very pretty if you are a nature lover. And that is how our day went. Hope yours was as enjoyable.

Sounds like you had a fun excursion! I am glad to hear you are taking some time for yourselves! Thank you for sharing your pictures.
One of the first thing I noticed when coming to your site was your new, colorful banner. Nicely done(sorry it's been a while).
Glad you are feeling better.
Keep Smiling

Hi sis,

Glad you got out yesterday. I've never been to Barnston Island. Sounds really pretty.

I couldn't check in to your other blog on Wednesday cause I forgot the name of it and it is not in my laptop. When I get home I will post, even if it wont be for the past week. See you tomorrow.
