Well, this month a special lady and I celebrate our coming of age birthdays when we
reach the next phase of our lives by turning 65. I am 10 days older than she, and we have celebrated 53 years of friendship, beginning with that first letter when we were both 12 and became penpals. We have grown up, married, had families, who now
have their own families and still we are close family friends. So in celebration of this milestone year, I made this card for her. The sad part is that it did not
photograph well, nor did the colours come out well. It is a layered card with the
flowers at various levels, each coloured with copics and some use of pink, gold and
copper stickles. To the base card of Lovely Lilac I used a cuttlebug folder edging,
with a polkadot green ribbon accent. The 65 numbers are BoBunny chipboard. Happy Birthday old friend, and may we celebrate many more to come.
