Altered Framework

A friend of mine who is a designer with Scrapshotz issued a challenge in October, to create a layout making an altered frame for your picture, instead of just matting. So I used wire mesh

purchased at my local dollar store and threaded blue ribbon through the mesh. I added flowers on each corner and then attached silver flowers with flower brads to the wire to hold it in place.

This was mounted on brown cardstock but I used a background paper and cut out a frame in

the blue and brown as a border. By the way, it would have been much simpler to cut the brown cardstock to size instead. Duh! The comments were written with silver ink and show my relationship to my daughter to her daughters and back to me as a grandmother. I like the looks
of it. Of course, my camera is not the best and anything bigger than an 8x10 photo is beyond
me to capture the full 12x12 layout page. But the idea is there for you to see.
