This is a different project that I completed this weekend. I have an Irish friend
who has been my penpal for 51 years. We were hoping on getting together for an anniversary visit, but it isn't in the works just now. But this weekend being Father's Day, I took some photos of my family and hubby took the one of me, so I
thought what a better way to keep in touch than by current photos. I made this
photo folder with an 8-1/2 x 11 folded cardstock, papered it and then stamped the
flying birds from Carte Postale on the front. On the inside I mounted two pictures
of DH and I with our youngest grd-dtr and added some metallic type decals that read
A friend is.... special...forever. I think she will like it. The only problem I see
with it, is both my hubby and I got new glasses and chose the transitional type that
darken with the UV rays. We always look like we have sunglasses on.

This is so special and so thoughtful - she will love it! And actually how neat to have sunshine that day to make your transitions glasses do their thing :)
