This Old House

On May 18th, DH and I celebrate our 40th anniversary. In that time we have lived in six homes. Four we purchased and two were rentals but the one shown here was our
first new-build of the lot. We watched it bloom from a hole in the ground to its finished state. I am a player in A weekend challenge with a different theme each week. This week was called This Old House. Only I didn't read it correctly and produced a 12x12 scrapbook layout instead of a small creation of choice. But they let me play anyway. I am not too thrilled with the photo of the layout as it does not do justice to the page and is much nicer in "person". I also won't go into detail on all the elements of the layout, except to say it has various papers used,
buttons, ribbon for the fence, stickles, flowers. Photos and house are raised on
dimensionals. Postscript - we no longer live here, but the memories remain, as our
daughter's school years were spent in this house. It was a good house.

I love this Norma! It's wonderful to see your house in various stages of completion - it looks like a neighborhood of houses with birds floating by on the breeze .... what a fun project and keepsake!

I like how you used the bkgd. stamp---I have that stamp also and this gives me some inspiration on how to use it.
