Olympic torch

In a few minutes, just down the road from our place, the Olympic torch will pass by on its way to Friday's Olympic games ceremony. Unfortunately, you have to stand and
wait, and that is something neither hubby or I can do. The weather is perfect and
sunny today and would have been perfect for it. That would have been as close as we ever got to the Olympics. We'll watch it on TV from here on in. I hope the guests from around the world are not disappointed in VAncouver or have expectations of coming to the vast white north, because it is the greenest time ever here in BC and
very mild for (winter)! Even the village up at Whistler where most of the skiing
events will be is clean and clear. The snow is on the mountains only. But on the brighter side, sight seeing will be made easier and shopping and visiting places a
pleasure and if the sun co-operates, photo taking will be at its best. So I guess there is a silver lining to all clouds. We went into town today for lunch, and before all the road closures are in effect. It was an easy run, but by the end of the week, it will be a zoo down there. A good time to stay home and in our own back yard. Now all we want is to see a little more gold for Canada. Come on teams, step up to the plate and make us proud.
