Surprise!

I had a pre-birthday party today, and it turned out to be a surprise party with
more than just my family in attendance. I didn't have a clue. In fact my daughter
just laughed when I came upstairs with a laundery basket filled with the kids clothes and thanked me for crashing the party with laundery. BUT the surprise of
all surprises is that the whole company including some who couldn't make it gave me
a special Birthday gift that I will be in a fog to use. They presented me with a
gift certificate from my favourite Scrapbook store in the amount of $250.00! Whoa!
Am I lucky or what?
Then, my hubby said, okay it isn't finished yet, because I am taking you to dinner.
And guess what the restaurant gave me for my birthday? The biggest piece of Mount Baker possible. Now Mount Baker is a large piece of chocolate cake with icecream
in the middle drenched in hot fudge and adorned with (in my honour) the most humungous corner towers of whipped cream with chocolate sauce drizzled over them.
NO I DID NOT FINISH IT. I had some cake, some icecream, left most of it there and
the whipped cream still stood like sentinels after the battle. I couldn't eat them.
It was a fabulous surprise and day - and the sun was shining.
