My five year old grand-daughter brought home the cutest countdown calendar from
kindergarten today and I wanted to share it with you as a simple craft for others
with little ones. It will have to hang high up on a wall or door. A big bell was
cut out of craft paper and decorated. A slit was made on the bottom to accommodate
a paper chain made in a pretty Christmas paper. And then 23 more links were made
in red and green paper. Each evening she takes off one chain link until she gets to the coloured one, signifying Christmas Eve and Santa coming.
Now isn't that the cutest idea? The kids are so anxious for Santa to come but they
also learn patience as they carefully take off one chain link after another, leading up to Christmas Eve.
