Winter Sky

Last week, when we were lucky enough to have sunshine for a few days, I happened to look outside about 4:30 in the afternoon.  The sky was gorgeous and the colours were out of this world.  The composition of this photo isn't that great, because I intentially wanted to take a photo of the sky only and not the rooftops down below the trees.  It was cold and you don't get to see skies like this one in the winter season that often.  In comparison, this past week has been very overcast and foggy.  Colour is stripped from everything and is covered in a grey blanket of mist that is bone chilling.  To see the prettiness of nature in these sparing moments, is a joy to the eyes and soul.
