Let the games begin. And we did okay with a Silver on the first day of competition.
Still lots of time for a Gold. If only the weather would cooperate, but then it is
everyone's game, and the best will prevail, no matter what the conditions are. It is
a heartbreaking moment when tragedy happens before the onset of games. Sad for the young fellows team-mates and all the other competitors as well. Let's hope this isn't an omen over the events to come. We have lots of snow but the rains are making
it too heavy to work with. This is the most unusual turn of events for our skiers,
this year. A bit of a drag on enthusiasm. Let persistence win. Go Canada, Go!
